The Polish Community Care Services PolCare had the pleasure of welcoming clients of the Support at Home (SaH) program to a special two-day Christmas in July celebration.

On 2–3 July 2026, the Polish Community Care Services PolCare had the pleasure of welcoming clients of the Support at Home (SaH) program to a special two-day Christmas in July celebration. The event was filled with warmth, festive spirit, and wonderful opportunities for social connection and shared celebration.

Guests were welcomed by Bożena Iwanowski OAM, Managing Director of PolCare, on Thursday, and by Marzena Wroniszewska, Chief Operating Officer / Chief Financial Officer, on Friday.

The Support at Home presentation was delivered by Monika Krajewski, SaH Manager. She provided an overview of the program, explaining the services available, the different levels of support, and the funding allocated to each category. She also introduced other short-term support options, including the Restorative Care Pathway program and the ELDAC program, which supports people requiring end-of-life care.

A special highlight of Friday's gathering was a virtual tour of Warsaw, giving participants the opportunity to explore some of the Polish capital's most iconic landmarks and attractions.

The festive atmosphere was further enhanced by a Christmas carol concert and a delicious lunch prepared by the PolCare kitchen. The menu featured traditional Polish beetroot soup (barszcz) served with a pork pastry, roast pork stuffed with prunes, roasted turkey, baked vegetables with salad, and for dessert, gingerbread and Turkish delight. A visit from Santa Claus, who delighted guests with sweet gifts, added a joyful finishing touch to the celebrations.

A heartfelt thank you to all our Support at Home clients for joining us and taking part in this special event. Your presence made these celebrations truly memorable and allowed us to share the magic of Christmas in the heart of the Australian winter.
