On 20 March, we had a great opportunity to meet with Samantha Harris from the Department of Home Affairs and connect over shared goals for supporting our community.

On 20 March, we had the pleasure of meeting with Samantha Harris, Community Liaison Officer from the Department of Home Affairs, to discuss collaboration and support for multicultural communities across Victoria.
The meeting provided a valuable opportunity to introduce the Polish community in Victoria and highlight the important role our organisations play in supporting culturally diverse individuals and families. Samantha shared insights into her role, which focuses on engaging with multicultural leaders, community groups, service providers, and government stakeholders to better understand community needs, concerns, and achievements.
We discussed key issues impacting our community, as well as the importance of open communication between community organisations and government. This dialogue helps ensure that policies and programs are informed by real community experiences and can effectively support multicultural communities moving forward.
We look forward to continuing this collaboration and strengthening the connection between the Polish community and government representatives.
